St Andrew’s is a prestigious, independent, co-educational day and boarding school offering a quality education, based on the English National Curriculum, to IGCSE, GCSE, BTEC, AS and A2 level. The teaching and non-teaching staff at SAIntS are a hard-working, focused and dedicated team of professionals. We seek to provide a quality education and strive to achieve our vision, ‘to be a leader of education in Africa’.
From time to time, vacancies become available at SAIntS. All vacancies are advertised in the local press here in Malawi and teaching posts are also advertised Internationally in the Times Educational Supplement (TES). Our main round of interviews take place in February for vacancies occurring the following September.
Please keep an eye on International Vacancies on the TES website. Applications for advertised posts are in the form of a letter of application and a recent curriculum Vitae. Two referees will be required and they will be consulted prior to offering any form of contract. International staff are recruited on a two year contract due to Malawi employment law that will only offer temporary employment permits for two years at a time. Teachers employed from within Malawi who are nationals or permanent residents will be required to complete a period of probation before receiving a permanent contract.
Non-teaching staff carry out a range of roles which include but are not exclusive to the ground staff, support staff, ICT technical team, kitchen staff, learning support and PE support in a range of areas. Non-teaching posts are advertised within Malawi in the local press.
