Pastoral

We

Care

Everything we do at St. Andrew’s International High School is underpinned by these two words. We are dedicated to providing the very best pastoral support.

From primary school transition to university admission, we care about developing the whole child and nurturing them throughout their SAIntS journey.

Our diverse, expert team of professionals is there to remove any potential barrier to a child’s learning or progress.

We have a bespoke Life Skills curriculum which has been developed to fulfil our school mission to empower our students and develop responsible citizens who will become the next generation of leaders

We are integrating the UN’s 17 Global Goals for sustainable development into every aspect of school life.

No wonder this isn’t only the best holistic support offered by any school in Malawi: our pastoral care has been recognised as ‘exemplary’ by the Council of British International Schools and we have shared our practice with the best international schools worldwide.

Saints year 7

Year 7

The year 7 team aim to celebrate individuality in our wonderfully diverse school and build a respectful and nurturing environment in which the year 7’s can flourish both academically and personally.

Through our Life skills Programme we hope to empower our students for the wider world, whilst developing their resilience and awareness of others and their surroundings.

Being a former Year 8 & 9 Head of year, I am delighted to now be a part of the Year 7 team and be involved with setting a solid foundation as each child progresses through SAIntS.

Year 8 & 9

Years 8 and 9 are well on their way to becoming young adults and the pastoral team for this cohort aim to support and encourage the students as they progress through this stage in their education. This phase is incredibly important as it sets the foundation for their academic studies, after which the Year 9’s select their options for their Key Stage 4 subjects.
My priorities as Head of Year for this cohort are to ensure that the school’s high expectations are upheld by the students. I also want to ensure they challenge themselves both in lessons and co-curricular activities, whilst also becoming responsible, respectful and well-rounded individuals.
